Game data and terminology

Translations of in-game terms are taken from Minecraft's own published language files so that a block is called what your copy of the game calls it. That data belongs to Mojang Studios; we use it to describe the game accurately, not to redistribute the game.

Accuracy is a best effort, not a promise

The calculators here implement the game's real formulas rather than approximations, and guides are written against the current release. Even so:

• Minecraft changes. A rule that held last version may not hold now, and the site can

lag behind a release.

• Java and Bedrock differ. Where they do, tools try to say so, but an edition

mismatch is the most common reason a result looks wrong.

• Snapshots are moving targets. Anything covering an unreleased version may be

outdated within days.

Treat results as a strong starting point, and verify anything that matters before committing it to a world or a server.

Nothing here is uploaded

Tools that read files — world saves, maps, packs, images — parse them in your browser. They are read-only and never sent anywhere. That said, keep a backup of any world you care about before working with its files, on this site or any other.
